George P. Gochis, President
Mr. Gochis has spent more than 30 years in the asset based lending industry and has broad experience in creating deals that permit borrowers in difficult circumstances to improve their cash flows by monetizing their assets. Prior to his current role as President of Diamond Business Credit, Mr. Gochis managed a commercial finance business in the New England market, providing working capital to hundreds of start-ups, rapid-growth companies and distressed businesses that failed to qualify for conventional bank financing. Mr. Gochis earned a bachelors degree in accounting and an MBA from Suffolk University.

David Lawrence, Executive Vice President
David Lawrence has been involved in small business financing for his entire working career. His industry experience began in 1990 when he joined a regional factoring company to assist client companies with credit and collection efficiencies. In 1993 he joined a national asset-based lender to expand that firms New England presence. David has a long-standing reputation for being exceedingly responsive and creative in addressing the unique challenges faced by smaller business enterprises. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University with a dual concentration in finance and entrepreneurship.

Edward McGugan, Regional President - Philadelphia
Ed McGugan has more than two decades of experience in commercial finance including sourcing, underwriting and managing a broad range of credit relationships. With more than 10 years of his career in the small and lower middle market business segments, he is very responsive to the needs of smaller business enterprises. Ed is active in numerous professional organizations including the Philadelphia Chapter of the Commercial Finance Association where he has held the offices of Treasurer and President and currently holds the office of Chairman. He is also on the National CFA Chapter Focus Committee. He holds a bachelors degree in accounting from Rutgers University. Ed manages Diamond's full service direct lending branch in the Philadelphia marketplace covering a region from Washington DC to New York.

Michael S. Perfetti, Regional President - Pittsburgh
Michael S. Perfetti has been in the asset-based lending industry for over ten years and has established himself as the go to professional for small ticket, non-bankable transactions in the Western Pennsylvania, Western New York, West Virginia and Ohio markets. He has been active in the Commercial Finance Association, the Turnaround Management Association and other professional organizations for many years. Prior to his success the ABL field, Mike was a successful sales professional and consistent top performer in the high-end consumer products business winning numerous sales awards. Mike received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the Virginia Military Institute where he graduated as an officer with honors.

Richard Sinclair, Regional President - Chesapeake
Richard Sinclair is a 35 year veteran of the banking and commercial finance industries in the Maryland and Washington, D.C. area. For the last 20 years, Richard has made working capital loans to hundreds of small businesses in the Chesapeake region that were unable to obtain conventional bank financing. All of these loans were made after referral from Richard's extensive network of bank and non-bank sources who know that difficult, unconventional credits require experience, creativity and flexibility. As Richard puts it, "my reputation and future is built one referral at a time and I am proud of the trust the financial community has in me". Richard is a graduate of N.C. Wesleyan College and the Maryland Banking School. Richard has been a resident of Maryland and the Chesapeake Region his entire life.

W. Thomas Clark, Vice Chairman
Tom Clark spent 21 years at Morgan Stanley & Co. where he served most recently as the Managing Director of the U.S. options, futures and program trading businesses, overseeing an enterprise with revenues of $2 billion and a staff of 500 professionals. He served on the Board of the Morgan Stanley Trust Co., which was custodian for over $400 billion. Since leaving Morgan Stanley, he has been an investor in numerous small businesses and serves as the Chairman of the Board of The Westchester Bank in Yonkers, NY. Tom is a graduate of Virginia Tech and received his MBA from Harvard.

Gerry Sherman, Vice Chairman
Gerry Sherman is the managing Partner of NORTHSTAR MANAGEMENT PARTNERS LLC., a management consulting practice he started in 1982. ln that capacity, he advises under performing and financially distressed companies; serves regularly as a court appointed Receiver or Trustee; and advises banks regarding distressed loans. Northstar also provides lender training programs to commercial banks and finance companies and Gerry has been an active teacher and trainer throughout his career. Among the many venues where he's spoken are Harvard Business School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston College and the Turnaround Management Association. He's also a columnist for COMMERCIAL LENDING REVIEW, a national lending industry journal published by CCH. His articles focus on various aspects of lender training and lending management. Gerry began his career in 1977 as a commercial lending officer in the asset based lending group of Shawmut National Bank of Boston, NA. He holds BS and MBA degrees from Boston University, graduating both programs with honors.

Ed Shifman, Vice Chairman
Ed Shifman has extensive experience in all forms of assets based lending. Beginning his career in this field in 1973, Ed has served as an officer for T.H.E. Insurance Company, Bank of New England, US Trust, and for the last 16 years ran the Northeast region for Congress Financial and its successor, Wachovia Capital Finance. He has been involved with numerous professional organizations including serving as President of both the New England Chapter of The Commercial Finance Association and The Northeast Chapter of the Turnaround Finance Association. Ed has also been a Director of the Association for Corporate Growth. He has served as a speaker on industry panels and contributed articles on asset based lending to professional journals. Prior to beginning his career in asset based lending, Ed served as First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army and was employed by Procter & Gamble and Seaboard Corporation. He received a BA degree from The College of William & Mary.

Charlie Ciovacco, Vice Chairman
Charlie Ciovacco has been in banking and finance for over 25 years. Charlie started his career spending 15 years in the asset based lending industry serving in every capacity during that time. Subsequent to his asset based lending experience Charlie transitioned into SBA lending where he assisted many local businesses obtain early stage financing. Charlie was most recently in charge of small business lending at a regional bank. These two arenas have given Charlie a unique ability to understand and ultimately offer financing solutions to small and medium businesses. Charlie graduated from Colby College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration.
